Dàozàng Tao Tsang 《道藏》 daozang ‘daoist canon/patrology’, a vast collection of texts assembled by monks over millenia. The term standardly refers to the Míng dynasty version, published in the year 1445 with addendums over the following two centuries. It contains 1476 texts, including the oldest extant copy of the Mohist Canons. Subsequent analysis of textural corruption and copying errors suggest that the Canons was only preserved in the Dàozàng but not understood. It is a part of the number 1168, which can be found not in the main corpus but in the third of the sìfǔ 四輔 ‘four auxiliary’ sections, titled Tàiqīngbù 太清部 ‘great purity’, together with other Warring States texts such as the Gōngsūnlóngzǐ (1164), Yǐnwénzǐ (1165), Hánfēizǐ (1169) and Sūnzǐbīngfǎ (1172). 【Jeremy】
