Fēigōng

   fēi    非    fei’wrong’
   fēi    非    fei (not/is not), nominal negation, extended to “is not this”, and so more abstractly “incorrect”, contrasting with shì 是 (this/is this). 【5Q】

   fēi    非    fei。墨家的“非”有三个方面的意思：（1）不对，错误，不合理。与“是”相对。《小取》说：“明是非之分。”明确是与非的分别。（2）反对，批评，指责。《小取》说：“有诸己不非诸人，无诸己不求诸人。”自己有这样的主张就不要反对别人这样主张，自己没有这样的主张就不要强求别人这样主张。（3）不是，没有。《小取》说：“杀盗，非杀人也。”杀强盗不是杀人。《经说上》说：“非彼必不有，必也。”没有那个原因就一定没有这个结果，这就是必然符合。

   fēi    非    fei (1) ‘not right, wrong, unreasonable,’ the opposite of shì, cf. Xiáoqǔ NO6: ‘make clear the difference between right and wrong’ (míng shì fēi zhī fēn) . (2) ‘oppose, criticise, accuse’,  cf. Xiáoqǔ NO11: ‘if you yourself hold a position do not oppose (fēi) someone else who holds it; if you yourself do not hold a position do not demand that someone else holds it. (3) ‘is not, has not’, cf. Xiáoqǔ NO15: ‘killing a robber is not (fēi) killing a person’, Mòjīng A83: ‘not having (fēi) that [cause] there must be no [such result]; it is necessary [i.e. an inevitable correspondence]’. 

   fēi fěi    非誹    feifei。墨家所指出来的一种逻辑错误。《经下》说：“非诽者誖，说在弗非。”反对一切批评是悖谬的、虚假的、不成立的，因为反对一切批评的同时也就把“反对一切批评”这一批评给反对了。【YWJ】

   Fēigōng    《非攻》    feigong ‘against warfare’, chapters 17-19 of the Mòzǐ, which develop arguments against aggressive warfare, illustrating some of the principles of mòbiàn ‘Mohist dialectics’.

   Fēimìng    《非命》    feiming‘against fate’, chapters 35-37 of the Mòzǐ, which develop arguments against fatalism, illustrating some of the principles of mòbiàn ‘Mohist dialectics’.
